πΎ Sports Rehab Check-in with Roux! πΎ
Roux came in for her sports medicine rehab follow-up, and we’re so proud of her progress! Dr. Allie carefully assessed her gait, chatted with her owner about recent activities and agility levels, and any new concerns. After reviewing Roux’s needs, we updated her home exercise plan to focus on strength building and injury prevention.
We love helping our sporty pups stay strong, happy, and healthy! πͺπΆ

Dr. Allie is delighted to work with the magnificent Copper this week. It’s been a joy to witness our equine patients’ positive responses to spinal manipulation treatments. Not only are we observing significant improvements in their performance, but the horses also appear to genuinely enjoy the treatment. To schedule an appointment, please call or text us (650) 479-6677.
Equine Spinal manipulation (aka chiropractic) has been such a rewarding treatment option for our horses. Most of our horse patients seem to lean in to the adjustments and become very relaxed. Spinal manipulation helps restore your horse’s normal range of motion. Here are some signs of what to look for if your horse has restrictions and may need a treatment:
• Change in behavior or attitude, while saddling, riding, etc.
• Change in performance or decreased energy
• Girthiness
• Refusing jumps or changing in jumping style
• Resistance to collect or laterally bend
• Hard on one rein
• Sticking tongue out
• Avoiding bit contact
• Difficulty with one lead, always landing on the same lead after a jump. #equinespinalmanipulation #cvmmp #integrativeveterinarymedicine #equineadjustments

Dr. Allie performs both a dynamic and static exam on your horse before and after their acupuncture and medical manipulation (chiropractic) treatments. We like to video the dynamic exam of your horse walking on a straight line, in small circles each way and back stepping. This allows for Dr. Allie to observe any abnormalities and potential lameness that your horse may have. After their treatment she will recheck this part of the exam to compare and show the improvements following therapies. The static exam involves observation of your horses’s conformation, including the way they stand and/or compensate, as well as muscle symmetry and tone. She will not only discuss this with you during your horses’ treatment, but she will also summarize her findings and treatments in the patient’s electronic record and will share this with the owner as well as your regular veterinarian. #veterinaryacupuncture #veterinaryspinalmanipulation #equineacupuncture #equinespinalmanipulation #equinechiropractic #veterinaryintegrativemedicine

Cash came to Dr. Allie for physical rehab and acupuncture treatment for limping on both front legs due to a recent diagnosis of elbow dysplasia when only 1 year old. During his treatments he also showed reduced core and hind limb strength likely from compensating for the pain on his front limbs. He’s been getting regular treatments for about a year now and during today’s session he even got the zoomies for the first time since his diagnosis! This is why we do what we do, improve the quality of life of our patients and our owners, too. #veterinaryphysicaltherapy #veterinaryintegrativemedicine #veterinaryphysicalrehab #caninephysicalrehabilitation #veterinaryacupuncture
The combination of acupuncture and medical manipulation (chiropractic care) in our equine athletes are used regularly to address both soft tissue soreness and tightness as well as maintaining spinal range of motion to improve overall performance.

Dr. Allie recently completed her Equine Medical Manipulation Certification (CVMMP) and is now offering this service (chiropractic care) to her equine patients. Hank had both acupuncture and medical manipulation prepping him for their upcoming Reining show and this video captures his response and releases after a manipulation (adjustment). Such a good boyπ΄ Best of luck at your show!! #reiningbythebay #reininghorse #quarterhorse #equinespinalmanipulation #equinemedicalmanipulation #integrativeveterinarymedicine #equineacupuncture #equineadjustments #performancehorse
Emmy Lou relaxing for her laser therapy treatment before acupuncture and rehab exercises. Laser therapy is a scientifically proven tool to help reduce pain and speed up healing time including wounds and musculoskeletal conditions. Most dogs enjoy this modality as it is quick and generally makes them feel better. We use it often in conjunction with other treatments. #lasertherapy #caninephysicalrehab #integrativeveterinarymedicine
We are now offering Spinal Manipulation (chiropractic) treatments for our equine patients while Dr. Turner is in the process of completing her certification at the Integrative Veterinary Medical Institute at Chi University. Spinal Manipulation helps restore optimal movement among the joints to enhance functionality and ease pain and goes well in combination with acupuncture and cold laser therapy.

We are loving this sunshine βοΈAs your horse returns to more work with the improving weather keep in mind that they may be a bit more stiff and sore from less work and turnout. Some of our equine athletes benefit from daily Chinese herbs πΏ to aid in this discomfort and/or behavioral changes this time of year. This includes our mares that will be going back into heat in the upcoming weeks. Schedule an acupuncture consult soon if you are looking to give your horse some extra support this time of year!#equineacupuncture #equinespinalmanipulation #equinechiropractic #coldlasertherapy #integrativeveterinarymedicine

Did you know we that offer Canine fitness and conditioning consults for those patients that may not have an injury but their owner’s are interested in injury prevention while getting to work and train their dogs? Even puppies sometimes need rehabilitation treatments too! Sweet Bodie strained his right carpus (wrist joint) while playing, so Dr. Allie has been doing cold laser, manual and pulse electro-magnetic therapy to get him back to feeling his best in no time! πΎ #caninerehabilitation #caninerehab #englishsetter #workingdogs #veterinaryintegrativemedicine #veterinaryacupunture

We had a busy Friday! Dr. Allie saw many patients including some of the Canine Forensics team. We had fun working on therapeutic exercises following their acupuncture and laser therapy. #caninerehab #caninephysicalrehabilitation #integrativeveterinarymedicine #veterinaryacupuncture #coldlasertherapy
2 sweet labs getting their treatments together β€οΈπ. Lucy is the yellow lab and she gets rehab treatments for osteoarthritis. Her housemate, Bodie, initially was seen for rehab treatments following bilateral TPLO surgery for cranial cruciate tears over a year ago. Dr. Allie has shifted her treatment goals for Bodie as he was recently diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma. His treatments are now more focused on integrative oncology, utilizing Chinese herbs, acupuncture, food therapy and supplements to improve his quality of life. They both are the such good patients and we love working with them! #integrativeoncology #integrativeveterinarymedicine #caninephysicalrehabilitation #canineacupuncture
