Equine Services

for your Equine athlete

We offer an integrative approach to Veterinary Medicine by providing acupuncture, spinal manipulation (chiropractic care), laser therapy and Chinese herbal remedies for pain relief, wellness, prevention and performance for the Equine patient.

Each patient's treatment will be tailored to their specific needs, depending on the nature of the injury and condition of the individual horse. Acupuncture is used in conjunction with conventional treatment approaches.

Treatments will take place at the barn or facility your horse is located at. Treatments can vary from 45 to 90 minutes depending on the patient and treatments performed.

Acupuncture Assessment

Dr. Allie will begin with a thorough examination, which includes "scanning" your horse to determine sensitivities over specific acupuncture points.

She will also assess the horse's tongue and pulse to determine any underlying conditions according to Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.

Aqua-acupuncture

Vitamin B12 can be injected into specific acupuncture points to provide a longer lasting effect of the treatment.

Medical Manipulation

This includes a dynamic and static exam of your horse before motion palpating to see where your horse may have restrictions. Then a spinal manipulation (chiropractic care) will be completed using HVLA (high velocity, low amplitude) thrusts to restore normal range of motion in your horse.
